Just awesome, can't get much better for me, very nice sound plenty of tone
one tube had a buzz to it but other than that all was great
I got it as a replacement for my PR 68. I recently joined a band and PR was not holding up well while rehearsals. I was pretty skeptical about it because I needed something for live as well as for home use and based on the reviews only HRD is a no-go for home use but I still took and chance and I couldn't be more happier. This thing is managebale at low volume and sounds super sweet live.
The tones you get out of this thing are insane. The Hot Rod Deluxe produces the most American style drive tone of any amp I have ever heard. The nice thing about this amp is that you do not have to crank it up to 11 to get those nice crunchy sounds out of it, like you would with an old tweed style amp. I have heard everything from jazz to metal played on these things and it does it all fantastically. Sam Ash Employee Review
