The Epiphone PRO-1 Acoustic sets the standard for acoustic value with its single cutaway deadnought shaped mahogany body with Epiphone’s Custom PRO-Prietary bracing for optimum resonance and volume. A glued-in set mahogany neck adds sustain and improved acoustic tone. While traditional-sized dreadnoughts can be difficult for a new player to get used to, the PRO-1 has a reduced body depth, which makes it easy to hold for long hours of playing. The PRO-1 Ultra boasts a quality, Solid Spruce top, which produces true acoustic tone. The room-filling voice of the instrument pays testament to its traditional and time-honored construction methods with a genuine warm, voluminous tone, great for rhythm or lead parts.

The PRO-1 Acoustic has all of Epiphone's innovative, easy-to-play features, starting with their PRO-1 Ultra neck. Players will immediately feel how comfortable the EZ-Profile neck is. Epiphone designed this neck so players' hands can easily form chords without feeling fatigued. Epiphone JumboPRO frets make fretting notes and chords seem effortless. JumboPRO frets are taller and wider than smaller frets. So, when you push down a string, it's easier to make string contact with the fret with less hand fatigue and finger friction. The PRO-1's scale length is almost 1" shorter than most acoustic guitars, the strings are under less tension so you don’t have to press hard to get good tone. And, since the frets are closer together, making chords is easier! Other premium features include Epiphone Deluxe 18:1 tuners, black binding, and Epiphone's timeless metal badge on the headstock. Rounding out this package is Beginner's Guide to Guitar booklet by Craig Anderton, eMedia online lessons, and a humidifier.

When you're ready play live, the PRO-1 Ultra can plug into any size PA or amplifier with the Shadow Performer preamp and NanoFlex pickup system, the same pickup system found in Epiphone's legendary Masterbilt guitars as well as many other classic Epiphones. Case not included.

Nice guitar for the money

Epiphone delivers an awesome guitar!

This is an awesome guitar! Epiphone always seems to build great guitars and they are always reasonably priced. Makes me wonder why I stayed with my first acoustic so long (long scale, worn frets, and heavy strings). This is so much easier to play and sounds great. Stays in tune very well. Oh and the Translucent Blue is GORGEOUS!

excellent acoustic guitar

excellent acoustic guitar, beautiful fit and finish, very well set up and easy to play

Online order of these guitars is risky

Ordered online and had it shipped to store... unfortunately the guitar had very sharp frets and neck warping new out of the box. The technician in store suggested ordering another as a replacement. Several days later, the second Pro 1 Ultra had the same issues. These two guitars were manufactured in Jan 2019 and sat in the Epi-warehouse for over a year before my attempted purchase. Maybe there's a humidity issue at the facility, I don't know. If the Pro 1 Ultra is in store and you can play it there then you're probably good to go, as one thats been taken care of... reviews suggest they are good instruments, but I decided to buy an Epiphone AJ220SCE in store. The bump up in price was an extra $170, but the increase was also evident in the build quality and sound. A bit of a frustrating experience, but ultimately it was handled and resolved well by Sam Ash.

I it was so nice I bough a black one too!

Real nice guitar. Quickie tune job and plays great. Nice frets and fret ends. Plays smooth and the price - wow.

decent for entry level

the guitar looks and sounds great. the electronics & tuner are only okay. the pick up is very powerful. Dont mind the rather unusual bridge. As far as electric-acoustic hybrids go this would typify term "Entry Level". Its good for the price, looks nice, plays well and is a good acoustic but a mediocre electric-acoustic. may not cut it live

Epiphone Pro-1

Excellent guitar, exceptional value. Will enjoy it for many years!

Beautiful guitar. Plays well after putting new strings on. Tuner works. Haven't plugged up yet. Will advise later. Great value. Thanks!

Great buy

I was in the acoustic room checking the guitars. I found the Pro 1 acoustic electric sounds really good. I am using it to play in the choir, the clean sound helped the cantors to adjust better their voice. It worked well for me, and it's worth the money. This was a great buy.

Great Experience

I hadnt picked up a guitar for 25 years, so I did alot of research when I decided to buy one, again. The Epiphone Pro-1 Ultra was the best price that I could find on the internet and it was at Sam Ash at $100 lower than other stores. I called customer service a couple of times before my purchase with questions and they were great.
