The Michael Kelly Triad 10E is a 10-string dreadnought with tons of amazing features for its price! With 10 strings instead of the usual 12, this guitar has more clarity and articulation than that of its 12-string counterpart. You get a boost in sound and tone with the help of the 3-piece back made of Flamed Okoume and Ovangkol. Get even more volume and tone with the included and discreet Fishman Sonitone Active System! This guitar is the perfect guitar for the guitarist looking to play a 12 string but get better savings and tone.

10 Strings That Sing
In addition to the exotic woods and top shelf electronics, what sets this guitar apart is the 10 strings. Contrary to traditional 12 string guitars, the 10 string set up is comprised of doubling the first, second, third and fourth strings. This provides a level of clarity, the option of better articulation and enhanced playing range all while retaining that thick and special 12-string type of tone.

Beautiful 3-Piece Back
The back features three pieces of exotic wood made up of Flamed Okume & Ovangkol. Together, they boost the sound coming out of the instrument and resonates warmly.

Incredible Fishman Electronics System
Plug in and play your Triad 10 thanks to its active Fishman electronics system. The under saddle bridge captures the full 10 string tone. You can control the volume and adjust the tone with two onboard controls, located in the soundhole. Discrete, but very easy to use and all without any holes cut into the side of the instrument.

  • Two Side Soundports
  • Discreet Fishman Sonitone Active System
  • Comfort C Neck Profile
  • Zero-End Pin Bridge for easy string changes
  • Case Not Included

Amazing guitar

Top notch instrument. Don't let the pricepointcthrow you. It's a quilty, pro level instrument. Plays and sounds amazing.

Great quality and sound for this price range

Had a problem with the guitar that shipped from the warehouse, but the Sales clerk was more than helpful in returning it for a new one. Great service! It's a very unique guitar. Great guitar for the price range. Plays and sounds great!

Play it before you buy it.

The guitar itself is a beautiful instrument however it lacked the full bodied sound of a 12 string. Also, the bottom two strings being single strings felt uncomfortable to fret.

A Modern Take on a Classic Idea

Let me start by stating that this is an excellent instrument. Back in the '60s, Vox produced electric guitars with 9 strings: the D-B-E strings were doubled and the E-A-D were single. A buddy had one, and I loved the various sounds it would give up. An acoustic version [okay, an electric-acoustic] is a great option given the wide range of music offered in today's venues. This guitar sounds full and rich, far better than the price might imply. The neck is decent, and it stays in tune, although I will put better strings on it at my first opportunity. My gripes simple: the pair of sound holes on the top side blowing my music right up into my face and tuning pegs that feel as if they'll break if I twist them even one more time. I'll be replacing them soon, too. Still, for the price, this is a no-brainer.
