love how it sounds and plays
I have been playing this guitar for a few weeks now and I honestly think it's a great buy for the price. I didn't expect anything fantastic because the materials are lower end, but the sound is actually really nice! I was surprised by how bright the tone is with the second sound hole. I think it would have been worth the extra money to get the Triad Port or Forte Port Koa. I did go to the store and try out all of them, they did have a better sound and better build materials, but they didn't have the Fishman electronics. Either way, I think it's worth a buy just for how interestingly different this guitar is from everything else on the market.
The associate who sold me this product was extremely helpful and so far my husband seems to love the guitar.
Looks nice, sounds great,I'm in love with new guitar
Bought this for my son for Christmas. He loves it! Beautiful guitar!
Im a retired senior citizen. I jam occasionally with a friend or two but mostly play along with youtube. I took up playing guitar about a year ago..........this is the 5th one I bought since and only the secound one that I haven't had to return because of quality issues............Two of which were Fender t-Buckets that I bought rom amazon. I got this Michael Kelly about two weeks ago.............I am so impressed with the sound, the quality, the sexy looks. It came with a perfectly set up action......as the Sam Ash rep said it would. For the size of the body, it has great rich sound and tone unplugged. I amped it up for the first time today (had to wait until I was sure the neighbor's were not home) and WOW! This guitar may not need to be amped but let me tell you...........it was designed to be! Awesome guitar. Feels like a custom built. It,s also very light. I think it would make a good beginner's guitar as well for a teenager........who says you have to learn on a plain looking Yamaha?
The quality is exceptional. The two sound ports make for interesting tone. The electronics are Fishman, so it sounds good plugged in, too... It was well packaged, and it arrived quickly in perfect condition.

Although Michael Kelly is storming the electric guitar world, their acoustic approach has been much slower, though the quality is still superb. The unique design of the acoustic sound hole produces a very bright tone, mixed with the dark wood, it has a dark and warm tone. The neck is medium cut, with a comfortable grip not too thin and not too fat, though I prefer fatter necks on acoustics. But for the price, this guitar sounds better than any epiphone or Ibanez in the same price range.
