Top-Quality Martin Craftsmanship
This dreadnought-style Martin HD-28E has a full-bodied, non-cutaway design for loud and proud acoustic tone. The body is shaped from East Indian rosewood, topped with Sitka spruce and supported with Forward Shifted X bracing. The modified Low Oval neck of the HD-28E has a High Performance taper and is fitted to the body with a dovetail neck joint for smooth playability and great sustain.

Incredibly Fine Appointments
Beautiful sound coupled with classy looks make the HD-28E a premier Martin acoustic. A multi-stripe rosette surrounds the soundhole while a faux tortoiseshell pickguard provides elegant protection for the lovely-colored Sitka spruce top. Antique White binding lines the top of the guitar, while a Zig-Zag purfling/stripe decorates the East Indian rosewood back. Abalone was used for the Diamond and Square Long Pattern inlays which adorns the ebony fretboard, and nickel open gear tuners sit upon the headstock for a sophisticated look and excellent functionality.

Fishman Aura VT Enhance Electronics
The only thing that makes an acoustic of this caliber better is when you can plug it in and have it ring out into a crowd. Onboard Fishman Aura VT Enhance electronics make it easy to play live or plug into a studio console for recording. A bridge plate mounted transducer adds a new dimension of sound and resonance, while the Volume, Tone and Enhance Blend controls inside the soundhole avoid cutting into the finely crafted Martin body and give you ease-of-access in shaping your sound.
