The Martin D-X2E Mahogany features a full-size dreadnought body with a solid Sitka spruce top and figured mahogany pattern HPL back and sides. The guitar features a long 25.4" scale which accentuates volume and projection. Features include a mother-of-pearl pattern rosette, solid wood neck, fingerboard, and bridge, and Fishman MX electronics. Like all X Series guitars, the D-X2E Mahogany comes in a gig bag featuring headstock, bridge, and end pin protectors, a durable water repellant exterior, and foam padding for protection on the road.

Tone
The D-X2E Mahogany features a full-size dreadnought body shape, the quintessential shape Martin created more than a hundred years ago. The Sitka spruce top with its scalloped X bracing and long scale offers the traditional Martin tone with full bass and treble response for maximum projection and volume.

I would buy this guitar again and will for my nephew!

After buying the 12 string version and loving it I had to have the 6 string version. Great tone and easy to play.

I most likely will not buy another Martin

Sending the guitar back. IS NOT what i expected from a Martin. Action high, neck wide . Sound was decent playing acoustically but plugged into the PA system, my old Alvarez sounded twice as good. The gig bag was fantastic, very well padded and I prefer it over a hard shell case.
