I tried this product when randomly seeing it at Sam Ash's Hollywood location. I am a session bassist, and versatility is key. This unique thumbpick is perfect! I have been a thumbpick player for awhile. When picking, I grip the whole pick as if it were a flat, and when finger picking, I can float my thumb as if it were not there. The larger pick "body" gives me a better grip and a fuller sound. The only drawbacks I can see are either minor or depend on play style. When tapping with the pick, I noticed that the plastic on the pick edge wore away very quickly, as it would for pick slides. However, I am using bass strings, so perhaps this isn't a problem for guitarists. Since it is a more expensive pick, that's a small issue. Also, if you are a slap player, you would almost have to remove the pick to slap. I don't slap, so for me it's a nonissue and I didn't factor it into my rating, but if you are, it will get in your way. The only other thing that disappoints me is that it is not sold in a greater quantity package! 3 at a time isn't enough!
