The Hoop Crasher is very cool if you are looking for a different experimental thing out of your snare. If you do cover material, this is a great way to change the sound of your snare without retuning or changing drums...especially if you cover some hip-hop type things. If you play in a drums and bass style, I would say this thing would be as essential as your hi-hat, and I have a feeling for certain styles of music, this will become as common as a hat or ride or crash. This may not be for everyone, but for those who it is for, it's unbeatable.
