These shells are 5.6mm thin, 6-ply maple with a 45 degree bearing edge. All the ingredients for a kit that has a wide tuning range with a nice attack and warmth; favorable to live and recording settings. Featured with familiar single-post lugs and the YESS tom mount system from the Yamaha Absolute Series we all know and love. The rims are 2.3mm inverse Dyna-Hoops which are s-shaped to preserve the life of your sticks during rim shops. The shells are finished off with a beautiful satin finish, this kit is the best of ALL drumming worlds.

Outstanding sound by Yamaha!

I was a little hesitant to get the smaller floor Tom and bass drum as I thought I might be sacrificing sound for size but was I ever wrong! I wanted to go smaller and lighter as I am getting older but this kits sound is BIG! I would highly recommend this kit!
