Yamaha has a knack for creating killer birch drums. Whether it is the Recording Custom, Absolute Birch, or Stage Custom- Yamaha birch drums have this uncanny ability to make drummers week in the knees. The %100 birch shell gives these drums a unique sound that is sharp and punchy while still having the ability to rumble and resonate. The sizes of the drums are

7"x10" Tom
8"x12" Tom
13"x14" Floor Tom
17"x20" Bass Drum
5.5"x14" Snare Drum

As if this wasn't enough, these drums are then fitted with Yamaha's signature lugs, triple-flange hoops, YESS mounting system, and more. The YESS system provides rock solid stability while allowing you to position your drums any way you'd like. In addition they YESS system makes minimum contact with the shell itself. This allows the shells to resonate freely, creating a truer tone. The YESS system also allows you to place your toms closer together, and does not interfere with quick head changes. As far as the bass drum goes, the Stage Custom features die-cast claw hooks with rubber insertion plates to reduce noise and help improve resonance. In addition, the rubber inserts help preserve the finish of your hoops. The bass drum also features telescoping legs which feature rubber stoppers to make setting easier.

cool looking and great sounding

this is a perfect drum set for someone who is pro and cant really afford a high end kit.i put powerstroke 4 heads on all the toms and blew everyone away.the tone is warm, it has mid range volume, they are very easy to tune because of the yess mounting system.i chose cranberry red because under the lights it looks unbelievable drums are very durable and very affordable.stop in at sam ash and play them anytime.i am a reviewer at sam ash las vegas.jason l
