works perfect for my application

I was looking for a personal stage monitor for vocals that was powered, able to easily adjust volume and would fit under my Roland Drum set. These are perfect. plenty of volume for vocals that I need to hear. with a little of the stage instruments mixed in, gives me a great stage feel. have the Head unit on a stand w/ the mounting bracket, an can easily adjust my monitor level as needed....

Keep coming back for these

I have used this system as my go-to PA for patio performances, coffeehouses, small venues, etc. I have had two of them. I perform 10-12 times per month, and beat the hell out of these things throwing them in and out of my vehicle. They are scuffed and well-worn but keep pounding out good sound. Low end will get distorted pretty easily if you're pumping in a lot of bass. I use this with acoustic guitar and vocals. I think pushing much more could cause more problems. But if you're looking for small venue gigs as a singer/songwriter, this thing is great.

All around, a great product

Does exactly what it's supposed to and is very intuitive. My only issue was "breaking" the speakers apart upon delivery. They are designed to "nest" within each other to facilitate transport, but this cool feature is very inconvenient as they tend to stick.

These systems are great for the money!

perfect for small venues like back ground music, trade shows, kareoke stuff like that.

Great value - but "monitor" is very misleading

The monitor function is disappointing. I realize most people using compact systems may not care about monitoring. Nonetheless, anything called "monitor" really should be a separate bus, and either 100% pre-fader or else selectable. On the XP800, the thing they call "monitor" is simply another copy of the master signal, i.e. post-fade, and EVERYTHING goes through the monitor. Even the Bluetooth, the 1/8" jack and the RCA jacks all go through the "monitor" which makes no sense at all. As long as you don't need a little control over monitoring, this is a great system. They should have left out the "monitor" jack. It is absolutely no different from the sub out" jack. And come to think of it, that one is ALSO misleading. "Sub out" is also a copy of the main signal. Normally a sub-out jack would be post-crossover, having LF only. At least in the case of the sub-out, one does expect post-fader.

Clear and Loud!

The only place we go for sound

I work with a non profit focused on ending world hunger, facilitating events with music in the background. I think Sam Ash is the only place we've ever bought portable P.A. systems because they're down the street, even if we buy online and the prices are competitive - they've provided whatever service we need. I'll be back!

Great for schools and churches

The Expedition speaker system is perfect for live sound in churches, schools or small clubs. It's easy to set up for beginners and the mixer it comes with is great! The speakers are crystal clear and deliver dynamic sound, they're also built to last and are very sturdy. This set is ideal for anyone looking to set up live sound on a budget.

Big sound and portable

The XP800 is the newest in the Expedition lineup and its a great system to get if you are looking to host parties at your house or if you need something that will help project a speakers voice. At 800 watts of power it can fill up some pretty big rooms and the bluetooth option is a great addition for those who want to play their music wirelessly.
