Looks Beautiful

5

No matter what the price point is, if it's Drum Workshop then it is more than likely going to be good quality. Not only does the black nickel have a great look to it, the nickel/brass combination really lends itself to a bright and punchy sound. At under $300 this is a steal.

DW certainly knows how to make a good sounding drum and this one is no exception. The brass shell and all the hardware are super high quality. Great for live or studio recording. This is a very versatile snare drum that can be used for any kind of music or player.

Superb Snare

The DW design snare is definitely a great snare option to consider that doesn't completely cripple your pockets. The black nickel finish gives it an amazing look and the pairing of a MAG throw off and true-pitch tuning take the sound to another level. Much more superior than wood, the brass build gives a very controlled snappy sound that makes this a great snare to try if you are in the market for an affordable, versatile snare

Great Snare Drum!

This is a great inexpensive snare drum with the perfect amount of pop at a lower price. The construction feels very sturdy, these snares should take gigging abuse for some time. Great snare at a great price, check one out!

Durable and sounds great!

This is a great snare for anybody looking for a drum that can produce a studio quality performance without being too expensive for the aspiring drummers of today. With an all brass shell its durable enough for a house kit where a drummer may fear using his best snare. good buy for beginners to experts.

Unique and Reasonably Priced

5

This is a great snare for any drummer looking to change up their sound without having to spend big bucks. This snare from DW feels very expensive while keeping the price modest. The snare features their MAG throw off and true-pitch tuning like any high-end DW drum but manages to save on spending elsewhere. The drum has a very present yet not harsh tone due to the layering of the chosen materials. A cool snare to have in your arsenal, even if just to experiment with.

Awesome snare

5

Not only is this an absolutely beautiful snare, but it is built well and sounds great! It features the MAG Throw-Off and can be fine tuned due to the smaller threads. DW has been around and know how to built drum products and this is just another fine example of why they are still one of the top manufacturers around. The brass gives a great sound that is different from wood but still gives a great tone (sometimes better than wood).

Great snare for the money

5

Drum Workshop has been a staple in the drum industry for decades. They've taken their years of crafting incredible custom instruments and taken some of those features into an import line of drums that pack quite a value to prospective buyers. You get the MAG throw off (one of the best strainers in the business), True Pitch tension rods (which are a finer threading so you can tune accurately easier than ever), DW True Tone snare wires, Remo heads (CS Dot on the batter), and a 1mm rolled brass shell. The two beads give the drum a distinctive look and also help control some of the excess ring and overtones inherent in a lot of brass drums. So whether you play live or in the studio the sheer versatility and quality of this snare drum make it indispensable. Check it out if you need a high quality brass snare drum on a budget.
