Love the light guage in this flatwound.

Flatwounds really bring out a focused, pronounced tone! D'addario also impressively carries the flatwound in a slightly lighter gauge so you can have all the benefits of flatwounds while still having some of the flexibility and playability through light gauge strings.

Worth it

Perfect for the Jazzmaster's bright pickups. Warms the tone of the guitar and the strings sound new for months.

Good Value

Sound and play well for the price. Sound best first few months. Seem to last about 6 months.

I would buy this product again and again!

These are awesome strings!!

Should be called Bigsby strings

Best string if you have a bigsby, plus this is best price out there and free shipping, saves gas.

Great strings

I use these with my jb200 arch top guitar for many jazz gigs. I've always been happy with the sound, and they are very consistent.

Great strings

They're great sets of flat-wounds. I have a maple neck, so I tend to have way too much treble and brightness coming and use these to balance it. They last considerably longer than round-wounds without the cons coated have such as flaking with heavy use. Keep in mind these are DIFFERENT, though. Don't get them if you're used to regular strings and have no reason. They're jazz strings, so they're darker sounding, which can be good if you like a lot of thump in metal styles. They're heavy gauge, so they take stronger fingers to play on. They do have some unarguable pros, though, and that's that they last longer and don't screech when you slide positions. This also leads to easier playing with the friction gone. Some people buy after market lubricant sprays and things to achieve what these strings have by default. If you clean your strings after use, these are also much easier to clean and not hard on your cloths.

I have a cheap Squier and a worn out crate amp and it sounded horrible the way it came from the store. I got a set of these chromes (11-50's) and OMG, what a huge difference. I'm a new guitar player and I only really practice, but with the added weight over the factory 9-42's and the smooth feel of the flat wounds I think it's great for a new player. I have to exert a little more force on the strings to get them to sound clearly, almost like an acoustic, and the notes on the high E don't bend all over when I'm practicing scales. I love these strings and I'm sure you will too.I never write reviews, but I couldn't resist for these.

Great set of strings!!

These strings seem to last forever without breaking or sounding dead. I love the tone and feel of this set of flatwounds. I have a light touch and so the gauge of this set is perfect for me. I had always used round wound or half round strings and this was my first try with flats in a long time. I'm hooked!
