A bit biased here--I'm a Breedlove fan, so I expected to like this. But I like this wonderful guitar more than I'd expected. It doesn't really have a traditional mahogany signature tone, which tend to be center-heavy and mellow, or blues-boxy; like my other Breedlove, it's bright, with superb bass and ringing, clear highs. In other words, a perfectly balanced guitar. I even like its amplified sound (I run it through a Fishman Loudbox mini, and despite its lack of tone controls, you can set it up on the amp to sound however you like.) The folks at Sam Ash did a fantastic job with the set-up, too: the guitar has flawless action, with nary a fret buzz to be heard. I expect that as it ages, it will sound even better. It's beautiful in an understated way, but mostly, you buy this guitar for its tone. Any style of music--I play classical on it!--and any manner of playing will be rewarded. It's just lovely. Thank you!
