Kemper is at the forefront of amp modeling technology. Emboldened by the power of digital, Kemper has produced digital tones which are as powerful, accurate, and interesting as anything on the market. Professional recording and touring musicians, as well as hobbyists, have found the awesome capabilities of a Kemper Profiler to be exactly what they needed.

Kemper History

Christoph Kemper has been developing his excellent products for far longer than we in the music industry have been hearing his name. Back in the 80s, he was coding an early British computer system called the Sinclair ZX Spectrum. He went on to develop the Access Virus Synthesizer years later, drawing on his programming experience and music production skills to enhance digital sound creation. Then, in 2011, he brought us the beginning of one of the best amp/effects modeler on the market today – the Kemper Amp profiler. Since then, the company has been continuously innovating and improving their design, remaining at the forefront of modeling technology.

Kemper Products

Kemper continues to do what they do best – create powerful processors that emulate tons of awesome guitar sounds. While they don't have a ton of offerings, what they do have is some pretty excellent models which suit expert players.

Their mainstay is the Kemper Profiler. The Kemper Profiler allows you to capture the sound and soul of any amp, with only a single lunchbox-sized amplifier. You can build your own profiles from amps you know and love, then use them anywhere you like. Alternative amp settings can be created, and even the cabinet of a profiled combo amp can be swapped in at any time. Dozens of professional onboard effects and stomp boxes can be incorporated to take your profiles to the next level. There's also a Kemper Profiler Powerhead, which is a 600-watt powered amp head.

These models include a sweet Profiler Remote which allows you to control, administer, and program with ease. Five buttons allow you to directly access five different programs ("Rigs") and entire performance programs can be switched using a bank system. There are dedicated buttons to access the tuner, tap tempo, and exclusive looper effect. For expanded foot control capabilities, you can look to the Kemper Profiler Stage Floorboard.

For gigging and recording musicians that seek unparalleled efficiency, Kemper's amazing Profiler is also available in a Profiler Rack, so you can incorporate it into your rackmount system. Both that unit and the Kemper Profiler PowerRack give you the capability to store 1000 amp profiles in total. It also comes with 30 different stompbox effects as well as a master effects section with master delay and reverb.

Kemper Artists

The list of artists that use Kemper Profilers is expansive. You can find expert players from many different musical genres. Amongst the biggest names include Paul Gilbert, Pat Metheny, Matt Heafy, Steve Morse, Munky, Steve Winwood, and Mark Hoppus.

Why a Kemper?

Kemper Profilers are not for the faint of heart. With immense power and accuracy, they afford you the potential to emulate whatever tones and effects make you play your best. While a little pricey, if you're at the level where you have use for a Kemper, you'll surely find it worth the price tag.
