What else needs to be said? If you are a performing solo artist this pedal will act as your other band mates. If you are writing music and are trying to come up with that sick guitar harmony but don't have another guitar player? Bam!!! Now you do. There is no limit to what you can do with this pedal and I'm talking first hand experience. Double rhythm tracks, leads, harmonies, loop drum beats, beat boxing, sound effects, samples etc.... This is the Swiss army knife of pedals that should be in every musician's tool chest. It is in mine.

Boss has been making quality effects for quite awhile now and has continued this tradition in it's newest RC3 loop station. This loop pedal allows for a total of 6 hours of recording time. If that's not monstrous enough, the pedal can be hooked up to your computer via usb to offload the memory for storage for later use. With that in mind, the RC3 can be used for on the spot recording and then send the WAV file to your computer for mixing. The compact, rugged design should put up with years of use without breaking down. Built in rhythm tracks are great to ensure that you play in time so that your loop tracks line up. Looping isn't just for a one man band. This is a great pedal for practice in that you can record a chord progression and practice soloing over the loop. The outside construction of this pedal is very durable. I have seen many guitar players use this loop station on stage. With the three hours of recording your music, this pedal is also a great practice tool when you want to lay down the perfect guitar solo. The rhythm types that are provided in this pedal is also useful in helping you to create new songs. For $199.00 you do get a lot for this price. I am a staff reviewer at Sam Ash.

This thing is amazing. You can use it for a lot more than just laying down a rhythm and soloing over it, which is handy, but you can also store backing tracks and other sounds in it and trigger them right from your pedal board. There are a lot of other looper pedals on the market that are similar in size or smaller, but none of them have this many features. Besides, have you ever seen a broken Boss pedal? I haven't.
