It is solid heavy duty cast aluminum, and large size makes it easy to find on stage in the middle of a song. No strings to fail. No Power needed. Knob to adjust max and min volume. Yes it fits on a Pedal Train Board and into the Hard Case easily. The rubber skid pads fit nicely between the slats at the top of the board, with the bottom ones hanging over the edge, so I did not have to remove them to add velcro strips to mount it. That way I have the option of laying it on the floor next to the pedal board if I run out of room. Only complaint is the inputs are recessed so you can not use the angled metal patch cords. Had to find a straight 1ft cord to connect my Polytune. I like to leave it on all the time. I wanted an angled plug for the guitar input so my coiled cord would come out to the side, so I covered the jacks with a thin strip of metal and duct tape and ground off about a 1/4" of the right side of the pedal front. Looks great, works great. However I would not try this if you are not experienced with power tools, as a tiny slip could do a lot of damage.
