I purchased this amp expecting it to sound like a more powerful bh250 and this amp delivered in spades. The amp sounds very clean and strong. I have loaded up the first tone print with Spectracomp and the second one with the combined Spectracomp and Drive tone print. On the gig I use tone print one for a very tight and round sound with a lot of heft on the note and the second tone print for that huge SVT like feeling that the combined tone print delivers. The combined also gives you a harmonic dynamic that sounds very nice but the Spectracomp alone really gives a solid thump in the chest that is very pleasing to feel. It is very nice to be able to switch between both effects with the press of a button on the Switch 3 foot switch. I also use the Classic Chorus on occasion when playing Nirvana's Come as you Are. The volume appears to be linear but I have not been able to test it out yet as at 12:00 it is pretty thunderous and too loud to test at home and even at the clubs we play in. I start to get dirty looks from the bar staff. It really is a special amp. On a side note, I purchased this amp after returning a Bugera Veyron because that amp sounded very thin, loud but thin. Not the BH800, this amp has no trouble cutting through a band mix. The notes are just so pronounced. I am a very happy camper.
