I use my Tech 21 Fly Rig direct to the PA for my live sound but needed a consistent and realistic sounding monitor. The Headrush FRFR-108 is perfect for that. Unlike many PA speakers, it does not impart any EQ curve or microphone preamp on the sound of my Fly Rig. With plenty of power to spare, it has made a huge difference on how I hear my tones at live venues. I'm no longer dependent on the sound guy to get my sound right in the monitor mix. It's also great for practice purposes as is excellent at low volumes as well. Lightweight, easy to transport, rugged and reliable.

This Headrush FRFR108 is a great solution for guitarists who use modeling gears, and would love to be able to hear the exact tone that they created on stage. It is also light and portable, which makes it way easier to carry around than the traditional guitar amps with bigger speakers. But, do not be fooled by its 8 inch speaker. it has a tun of lowend that will keep your chest thumping when you go chuguchugu on lower strings, while producing plesent and accurate mid and higher frequencies. It has 2 handles, adding carrying comfort to its already easy to carry weight, and it also can be laid down on it's side and tilted to be used as a floor wedge. It's plenty loud to keep up with any drummers, and tone is not compromised or changed in any shape or form in any volume level. One feature I'd love to have in this speaker is the separation between the volume of the XLR out and the volume of the actual speaker. However, I managed to get around it by creating 2 separate outputs in my helix preset, one going out only through the xlr out, and the other output going out through the 1/4 out of my helix. I send the XLR out to the mixer direct, and send the 1/4 out to the monitor. That way, I can control the volume of the monitor to my liking without messing with the signal that goes to the sound guy. Over all, I am very satisfied with the speaker in its tone, ease of carrying and use and most importantly the price. The tone, reliability, durability and ease of use at a 200 dollar mark is insane, and this speaker is just that.
