The Epiphone Allen Woody Rumblekat bass is the result of a historic collaboration with Epiphone and the late, great Allen Woody, the legendary bassist for the Allman Brothers Band and Gov't Mule.

The Allen Woody Rumblekat is one of the few basses available today with a 30" scale length (compared to the "standard" scale length of 34"). But there are many more features that make the Rumblekat one of the great modern instruments for bassists today. Based on his '50s Gibson EB1 Violin Bass, the Rumblekat has a chambered semi-hollow body made from mahogany along with a 5-ply maple top. The mahogany neck has a rosewood fingerboard with the "violin" scale of 30". A set of mini humbuckers were painstakingly designed to reproduce that EB1 sound. Additional features include an adjustable 3-point tailpiece, die-cast tuners, and retro gold tone hardware.

buy this bass

I was looking for something different so decided on a hollow body. Trying out all the other brands out there and doing research. I've been aware about the RumbleKat but never played one. I happened to go to Sam Ash one day and there was one there. I played it and liked it a lot. I went on forums and researching the Rumblekat not one bad review. I bought the bass played it and was happy. I played live in church and this bass exceeds it's expectations. it looks cool has tremendous tone the neck is comfortable. I've been complemented on this bass so many times. This is the bass worlds best kept secret. I like this over any P-bass.
