Comments about La Bella M45-B Stainless Steel Round Wound, 5-String – Standard Light:

This set fits my needs perfectly. I have an '82 Stingray tuned BEAD. The tapered B string in this set allows me to use the stock saddle(the other strings are not tapered). The tuning post is very close to the nut on this bass, most other B strings are too long and the thick part of the B string will partially wrap around the tuning post. This B strings silk wrap starts at the perfect length for my bass. The silk wrap and winding at the end of the strings are also unique to the La Bella set, helps lock the wraps of strings around the tuning post so there is no slippage and going flat.
I go for a Justin Chancellor meets John Campbell type of tone, a lot of crunch/growl on the attack and a lot of mids and treble as well as a strong fundamental, these strings definitely deliver!
