works great with acoustic or electric violins. Light weight yet sturdy. Love that the carrying case has a shoulder strap! Rosin holder snaps into place securely, and Bow holder is secure and easy on the hairs (can sway a bit though- be careful when putting it in place and you'll have no problems). Holds at the neck to avoid messing up your tuning, and the padding keeps from scratching the instrument when in use. All in all, well designed!
