This miniature condenser microphone achieves full-sounding pickup and is known for outstanding consistency and dependable performance. Supplied with both a clothing clip and guitar mount, it provides natural and articulate vocal reproduction when used as a clip-on lavalier and excels in pickup of acoustic guitar. The PRO 70 is designed to make music and speech clearly and comfortably audible, yet never draw attention to itself or its operation. The microphone is equipped with a low-frequency roll-off switch that allows for reduced pickup of room noise. The versatile PRO 70 may be powered by either battery or phantom power. Its cardioid polar pattern reduces pickup of sounds from the sides and rear, improving isolation of the desired sound source.

Nice sounding mic

I use this to close mic my mandolin and also as an external source for online events. The frequency response is great. I have little to no EQ adjustments going in. The capsule is larger than what I'm used to but isn't an issue for my purposes.

Great quality for that price

5

There are not so many professional XLR lavalier mics, especially in this price range. I use it with Zoom H1 and I get a great quality of sound that doesn't require any editing (of course if you want to get the best of the best kind of quality then some editing might be required). So, I would really but it again.

Great Mic + Great Price = GREAT PRODUCT

I do Podcast interviews as well as Screen Cast. I run into a Tascam DR-40 digital recorder. Since I can inset a battery into the Pro 70, I never use the phantom power on the Tascam. The bass cut switch is great and this mic cuts my post production by 50%. I own for of these mics and if they were stolen from me, I would be on-line in a heart beat, buying four more!

Excellent for guitar... with the AT8418 mount!

5

used it on my gypsy guitar for 2 years... and just recently installed the AT8418 uniMount instead of the included 'guitar clip'. What a difference! highly recommended.. with this mount.

Nice instrument mic for cello

5

Our Cello/Classical guitar duo was our main bread and butter for some years. We've done many, many wedding ceremonies, fancy dinner parties etc as professional musicians. I've tried every piezo ceramic cello pickup made before switching my focus to mics. I decided to try the pro70 because it's billed as an instrument mic with a sound-hole clip. I built a make-shift mount to clip the mic in a good spot on the cello, and after some experimenting concluded that we had achieved adequate sound quality on the cello at long last. The pro70 brings a nice, warm, full signal into the mixing board with no unpleasant frequencies I've ever felt a need to EQ out of the mix. We've been gigging regularly with this mic for 6 or 7 years and never had a malfunction (other than low battery). We've been pretty careful with it, but it's still remarkably durable and reliable. I came to this site looking to buy 3 more so I can mic the string quartet. On a side note, I have tried to clip it on for vocals in a pinch and found it a really lousy setup for singing.

I got the Mic but recording via zoom h4n gives low recorded

2

I am not to happy with this AT-pro 70. I use this in my studio to record interviews via Zoom h4n. After the Recording is finished and imported to FCP(Final Cut Pro) for a play back the sound of the person speaking in very low. The mac volume is ste to 100%. In post I can fix that but I dont get the quality I need. So I will give it a try to a different mic.

Great Mic

I am a legal videographer and have used these while filming depostions for over 2 years and am VERY pleased. These are extremely durable, on a weekly basis someone drops one and none have ever broke. And I very rarely experience any interference while using these.

Great Mic & Great Price!

I've purchase 3 for my company and based on my experience with the mics I purchased 8 for the school I teach film at. Great tool for interviews and some on the go quick voice overs. I recommend the Pro 70 to anyone.

Great Mic for Interviews such as Legal Depositions

I have purchased this Mic since it came out many times over for my Legal Deposition business. You cannot come close to another mic that has this quality for this price.
