The around-the-edge triggering on ATV drums is one of the sole reasons I was willing to buy these at their very high prices. I also own the snare drum and there are ZERO HOT-SPOTTING issues. The design of the drum is solid and elegant and should last forever. The mesh heads are bouncy, yet are still pretty realistic feeling. Another advantage of these drums is that the mounting brackets are able to fit any size tom mount (9mm, 10.5mm, and 12.5mm), so whatever size you already have, you're good to go. Nothing much else to say over then - yes, they are overpriced, but most products that are the best in respective markets are overpriced. And they're also a much better deal than anything Roland offers. Roland has 10" toms that are $500 each and are not even full size drums like these things.
