I love this keyboard!

This has been one of my favorite purchases. The keys feel great and make you want to play more expressively. If you have Arturia instruments it integrates perfectly. It will also control your DAW and gives you access to faders and knobs. On top of that the style and build is excellent. Overall 5 stars!

Fabulous keybed, beautiful looks, great software

I was wanting an 88-key controller with hammer-action keys and had been looking at an Nektar Impact LX88+ for its modest price and Sonar/Cakewalk integration. Eventually I decided to splurge on the Arturia Keylab 88 MkII once I did research and felt comfortable I could integrate it with Cakewalk, albeit with some effort. My main concern after reading some other reviews was the keybed action... most loved it but some felt it was too mushy or slow. I could not find one "in the wild" to test in person so I took a risk getting one sight unseen. When the unit arrived I was immediately impressed by its looks and build quality. I'm happy to say that I LOVE the keyboard action. It is not exactly like playing a grand piano, I would say it's a bit more linear in its resistance over the travel range of the key. The force feedback makes my playing much more nuanced and natural than what I can do on a synth action, and I have had no difficulty playing any fast runs so the rebound is just fine. Knobs and sliders feel premium, with nice smooth resistance. The 2-line LCD display is simple but adequate, and I think this is part of an emphasis on playing and physical controls over dinking with software menus. Drum pads feel nice and are customizable using MIDI Control Center software. There are nice details such as the way the pads flash in when in chord memory mode. I will probably never use many of the exotic features like CV input/output or additional pedals, but it's nice to know they are there just in case. I might have saved some money and gotten the Keylab 88 Essential, but I really wanted the full hammer-action keyboard. The price is high but you are getting a lot of build quality and software for your money. It comes bundled with Analog Lab 4, Piano V2, Vox Continental V2, and Wurli V2, which all integrate nicely with the controls on the keyboard. I am especially impressed with Piano V2 and think this will be my go-to piano sound for recording and live playing.

Awesome midi controller! Hard to beat for the price!

Bought "for my 7-year-old" to use for piano lessons (wink, wink!). Very nice feeling keys, tons of features. Bundled software also very functional.

If I had the money I'd buy nine more just to have......

The # 1 midi keyboard in my opinion love it love it love it!!!!!!!!
