I had never played a Baritone guitar but I have wanted one for a while, and all I could find online in acoustics were very expensive Taylors and this Alvarez. I didn't want to spend a fortune not being sure how I would like the sound and playability of the longer scale, so I decided to try the Alvarez and if I found out that I used it a lot then maybe sell it and buy a Taylor. But I am so impressed with the quality of this thing that I intend to keep it. I find that I play it as much as I do my "couch" Martin D-18. It doesn't have the Tone of the D-18 but I think it sounds as good as my other Martins, and with it's deep timbre it really fills a room with a unique sound. I find that if I play the Baritone first, my Martin sounds "tinny" afterwards so if I do any performing with this guitar I will save the Baritone songs for last! The quality of workmanship and materials are great too. I highly recommend the Alvarez Abt60 Baritone guitar!
