Pros: This is good for students who need a book to practice technique (in contrast to one that can learn by ear scale exercises and arpeggios without the necessity of printed material ). The notes are large and easy to read and the exercises are basic finger exercises. These can be used to practice transposition, once the student has learned the pattern well enough. It also includes major and minor scales, arpeggios, some double third exercises and broken octave scales and a Circle of Fifths. Good for beginning Intermediate Level. Cons: can be boring if the student doesn't pick it up quickly.
