The innovative Godin A6 Ultra Acoustic-Electric Guitar combines all the favored electric guitar and acoustic-electric guitar features into one single instrument.

Offering the best sonic qualities of both electric and acoustic-electric guitars, the Godin A6 Ultra sports a chambered silver leaf maple body and a solid cedar top (solid koa top on A6 Ultra Koa) to give players solidbody-style comfort and an acoustic-like resonance that's virtually feedback-free even in loud performance settings. Designed with the electric guitar player in mind, the mahogany neck is topped with an ultra-comfortable 16"-radius Indian rosewood Ergocut fingerboard that houses 22 jumbo nickel frets.

The Godin A6 Ultra comes outfitted with single Godin GHN1 pickup in the neck position to dish out that classic, full humbucker tone along while a custom Godin under-saddle transducer captures the beautiful plugged-in acoustic voice of the guitar. Two output jacks (electric and acoustic mix) allow you to plug the A6 Ultra into an acoustic guitar amp and an electric guitar amp simultaneously to create unique sonic layers with two separate signals. Additionally, the acoustic mix works as a dual-function output jack when the electric guitar output is not in use, giving you the flexibility to blend both signals for a warm, full-bodied sound. Specifically voiced for the A6 Ultra, the unique custom Godin preamp offers an extensive array of sonic options and tonal colors. The acoustic section of the preamp comes equipped with Vol., Treble, Mid, and Bass controls sliders while the  humbucker section of the preamp boasts a Vol. slider control along with two mini treble and bass tone control knobs.

Other high-performance features include a Graphtech Tusq nut and a set of high ratio Godin tuning machines. Available in an assortment of finish options. Gig bag included.

Comments about Godin A6 Ultra Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

One thing to understand is an A6 is an acoustic-electric guitar. It is not a shredder with superlight strings. Put a set of D'Addario EXL115W Nickel Blues/Jazz Wound strings on. Play with two amps, an acoustic amp for the acoustic pickup and an electric amp for the magnetic pickup. It allows me to play many different styles without changing guitars. It has a very high build quality and sound great unplugged, albeit not loud.

Comments about Godin A6 Ultra Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

To be honest I don't like to give bad reviews on instruments , but I had such high expectations on this Godin A6 Guitar I was disappointed when I Used it on a wedding gig . It was just so hard to play and every time I used it I broke a E or a B string that drives me crazy the sound was okay, nice and light , The sad part is the neck it just seem so stiff and hard to play I'm wondering if it's the strings what kind of strings do they recommend for the A6 one more thing there is no battery gauge or limiter and when the battery dies there's a loud noise threw. The sound system very very disappointed, thinking on trading it in for something else
