You are looking at a Gibson 2016 1959 ES-175D Hollow Body Electric Guitar Vintage Burst, serial number A08150. This is the actual guitar you will receive should you decide to purchase. (6 lbs, 13.9 oz.)

Originally introduced in 1949, the ES-175 has become one of Gibson's most popular jazz guitar models and is widely recognized as the classic "workingman's jazz box". Today, Gibson Memphis is proud to introduce the 2016 1959 ES-175D, which faithfully re-creates the most sought-after incarnation of the 175 with exceptional accuracy.

The traditional fully hollow Florentine cutaway body of the 2016 1959 ES-175D is made with laminated top, back, and sides, and features authentic hide glue adhesive for the quarter-sawn Adirondack bracing and neck joint, which holds true to the late '50s construction. This iconic archtop comes dressed in your choice of Vintage Burst or Natural VOS nitro lacquer finishes for a gracefully aged look while tan binding further enhances the vintage vibe. The Soft "C" mahogany neck is capped with a dark rosewood 'board that sports comfortably rolled binding to offer the perfect blend of vintage styling and unparalleled playability. Beautiful pearl split-parallelogram fretboard inlays provide that timeless style that was made famous by some of the most renowned Gibson archtops in history, and the Historic truss rod assembly lends to the ES-175D's superb sustain and resonance.

Equipped with a pair of MHS humbuckers, the 2016 ES-175D produces those genuine vintage Gibson PAF tones thanks to the pickups' historically-accurate design. The traditional control layout consists of a 3-way switch, 2 volume controls, and 2 tone controls featuring Bumblebee capacitors. Just as the finish, the classic-style hardware and plastics have undergone Gibson's proprietary VOS process to ensure authentic vintage looks. The hardware includes a set of nickel-plated Kluson Single Ring Tulip Button tuners, a rosewood-based compensated bridge, and a nickel-plated brass zig zag tailpiece. Comes complete with a period-correct hardshell case and Certificate of Authenticity from Gibson Memphis.
