Comments about Zildjian Oriental 20" Crash Cymbal:

Very cool cymbal. I had wanted it for a long time and finally bought it a couple of weeks ago. It really fits the product description, dark, low pitched, explosive ect.

Pros: It is very fun to play and i really like the sound it makes. You can ride it very lightly, but it really shines when you crash it. It is quite thin and wavy, and has skips in the lathing wich in my opinion makes it look really cool and hand made.

Cons: It was not as loud as i first had thougt. For me it was a bit of a con, but i belive it may be a pro for other drummers interested in this cymbal. Not a very defined bell, as it is quite a flat cymbal. Hitting on the bell sounds almost the same as hitting anywhere on the bow. Also, as i play in my spare time and pay out of my own pocket, at this price i had to save up, and i also waited a while to buy it because i first bought other, more essential, cymbals before i felt i could experiment and invest in more unique cymbals like the crash of doom.

Bottom Line: Its a good cymbal with a very unique explosive sound to it that some hate and som love. I love it.
I have yet to incorporate in to my bands music, but with more playing around with it i belive it will soon be among my "daily drivers" of cymbals.

Side note: A year ago i went to se one of mye favorite bands Aiming For Enrike live in Oslo. After the show i asked the drummer what cymbal he was using cus it sonded so awesome! He told me it was the Zildjian Crash of Doom. After i now had bought it my self i went to see the perform again and i brought my cymbal and hi signed it for me! He also remembered me form last time! I now have a very unique cymbal with a bit of history to it.
