Yamaha's Piaggero provides go-anywhere portability and style while also delivering Yamaha's legendary piano touch & tone. Sam Ash Direct has the guaranteed lowest price and fast free, shipping.

Yamaha Piaggero provides go-anywhere portability and style while also delivering Yamaha's legendary piano touch & tone. Whether you're taking up piano for the first time or recapturing your musical passion, the Piaggero offers easy-going piano fun.

Touch of Class
To recreate the playability of an acoustic piano, Yamaha Piaggero features Yamaha's own Graded Soft Touch (GST) keyboard, giving keys in the lower octave a heavier touch than those in the upper octaves. While this scaled level of resistance is graded for a piano-like response, the keys themselves are not weighted for the sake of portability. This brings the NP-V80 in at less than 16 pounds but still provides a touch that all pianists can appreciate.

Essential Voices
Along with superb grand piano sound, Yamaha Piaggero features a number of popular instrument Voices, such as organ, strings, and guitar all recorded using Yamaha's AWM (Advanced Wave Memory) stereo sampling technology for amazingly true-to-life sound. And for a complete orchestra of sonic options, Piaggero includes XGlite Voices and drum/SFX kits. This ensures compatibility with the wealth of Standard-MIDI and XG song files available today.

Perform with Style
Piaggero NP-V80 boasts over 160 preset Styles -- from the basic rock and jazz beats to contemporary electronic rhythms -- that follow and backup the performer with dynamically responsive accompaniment. Every Style is essentially a backup band of virtual virtuosos ready to follow your lead. Piaggero Styles all feature custom intros, variations, and endings giving you total control over your arrangement. Go ahead and play a couple of extra verses at the end of your performance… Piaggero can handle it.

Piaggero Takes Requests
At the touch of a button, Piaggero's Music Database offers pre-set combinations of Styles, Voices, effects and tempos based on the song you’d like to perform. Music Database is not a jukebox or playback device… it’s a feature that you use to quickly set up the Piaggero so you can play your favorite songs. As new songs become popular, Piaggero’s Music Database stays with the times because additional titles can be downloaded from the Internet on your PC and transferred via USB. It’s the never-ending set list.

Playing It Smart
Play a chord and the Yamaha NP-V80’s Intelligent Arpeggiator automatically plays the notes with the appropriate feel of the instrument. For example, different types of pianos have different signature “grooves” made famous by artists performing and recording with those keyboards. Acoustic pianos, electric pianos, clavinets, synthesizers… a keyboardist “comps” differently depending on the instrument they’re sitting at. The Intelligent Arpeggiator matches the appropriate keyboard groove to the current Voice. All you have to do is select a Voice and play a chord… Piaggero does the rest and makes you sound like a pro.

Comments about Yamaha NP-V80 Piaggero 76-Key Keyboard:

I would recommend this piano to any parent who is on the fence about the Yamaha P105B. Its a great price, feels solid. and won't break the bank. The piano sounds are inspiring and not chincy or cheap, hence you will actually want to practice.

Comments about Yamaha NP-V80 Piaggero 76-Key Keyboard:

This is probably one of the best beginner pianos out there. Take it, it would be better if it had fully weighted keys, but for a teenager or young adult just getting into it, it's perfect. at 76 keys it's large enough to play most pieces of music, but small enough to not be overwhelming. Yamaha also loaded this thing with great sound samples, so once you get going, you'll be sounding AWESOME. Great piece for a beginner, hands down.

Comments about Yamaha NP-V80 Piaggero 76-Key Keyboard:

This is a great little keyboard for a kid to get started on. They can learn their scales and chords, and work through their lesson book. When they're finally ready to graduate to a better keyboard, they can always use this one as a midi controller.

Comments about Yamaha NP-V80 Piaggero 76-Key Keyboard:

The Piaggero is a great little piano for a beginner or intermediate player. It's lightweight so it's easy to transport between home and lessons, gigs, or rehearsals. The interface is pretty simple. If you're looking for a decent set of sounds, decent touch-sensitivity, and a full 88-keys at an affordable price, this is the one. I might be hesitant to use this on stage because it's not as durable as, say, a P-35B....but for home and rehearsal use it's a great pick.

Comments about Yamaha NP-V80 Piaggero 76-Key Keyboard:

Yamaha put together a great sounding, great feeling keyboard. This board has 76 keys and use what Yamaha calls GST, graded soft touch, which gives a great feel and action. There is a modulation wheel on the left side that works great for bends on the fly. Great board for anyone that needs a pro sound in a small box. Portable, lightweight, and versatile. A great combination and a great investment for a very affordable price. The Piaggero comes with Graded Soft Touch which is a scaled level of touch resistance which is heavier on the lower keys and lighter on the higher keys for more realistic piano response. The keys are non-weighted to make it easier to carry around. Great quality piano, strings, organ and guitar sounds. Great piano for taking to small gigs or practicing at home.
