The Yamaha FS700S is a grand auditorium size acoustic guitar. Smaller than a dreadnought, most players find the FS700S to be more comfortable, and it produces a smooth, sweet sound with strong mid-range. The FS700S Folk Acoustic Guitar is a great entry-level acoustic guitar with deluxe features including die-cast tuners, solid Sitka spruce top, and a rosewood fingerboard. Black and white body binding. The FS700S takes its design concept from Yamaha's flagship LS models. Case not included.

Comments about Yamaha FS700S Folk Acoustic Guitar:

This is Yamaha's basic entry level acoustic guitar. I haven't played in years (too much work) and wanted to go at it again. Looked at the Seagull guitars at another store but purchased the Yamaha FG700s from Sam Ash Music Store. The sales person was very helpful.

The sound is incredible for an entry level guitar - better than the $500 Ovation I owned 10 years ago. I wouldn't compare it to a $1000+ guitar but the sound is impressive for a guitar below $300. I play just for personal enjoyment - mostly chords with some picking.

My only gripe is the strings were set up wrong from the factory. Instead of strings being tuned to EADGBE, they were tuned to DGCEAD.
