Comments about Yamaha APX500FM Acoustic Electric Guitar:

With this Yamaha, you get quality from a name you can trust. The maple top and mahogony sides make this guitar sing without any troubles. It has a nice thin neck to help with hand fatigue. The preamp is great, it is a System55T, and it has a 3 band EQ and tuner! This guitar is great for beginners and pros alike.

Comments about Yamaha APX500FM Acoustic Electric Guitar:

Awesome guitar with a great price tag attached to it. The electronics sound great without having that harshness usually associate with lower priced acoustic guitars. The Thin body is complimented with a thin neck as well, for comfort and playability.

Load it up with a Gibson 59' pickup and get ready to play all the bachata on the planet.

Comments about Yamaha APX500FM Acoustic Electric Guitar:

Beautiful quilt maple top! Sounds and looks great and on top of all that, it's a very comfortable guitar to play. Thin body makes it a little more comfortable on your arms- especially if you are of smaller stature. Electronics sound amazing whether you plug in to an amplifier or direct into a PA system. Sounds great for playing anything from worship to jazz. I'm a sales associate at Sam Ash Music Ontario.

Comments about Yamaha APX500FM Acoustic Electric Guitar:

This thin line guitar is very comfortable to play. The body size is perfect for players who have a hard time with the size of a traditional dreadnaught guitar.
While the unplugged sound is a little thinner than a full depth guitar, the onboard electronics more than make up for that.
Once plugged in, this guitar really sings.....The notes are full & rich, clear and defined.
Put this guitar thru an amp and discover it's true potential.

Comments about Yamaha APX500FM Acoustic Electric Guitar:

This Guitar has a very comfortable narrow neck. It is very comfortable if you already play guitar.

If you are a beginner, I would say get a guitar with a slightly larger neck- so you could learn finger style technique, and won't get used to such narrow neck.

This guitar is sounds great when it is plugged in. It is equipped with an awesome tuner! You get a satin neck, for that smooth feel.
If you are looking for a guitar to gig/ record/ write songs- You found your guitar!

Comments about Yamaha APX500FM Acoustic Electric Guitar:

This acoustic plays perfectly fine unplugged but once you plug it in, you are going to realize it's true value. The electronics sound great and they allow you to adjust your tone accordingly. The onboard tuner is really handy when you need to tune on the fly. It's compact body is light and makes it easy for travel. The flamed maple top is not only gorgeous, but it produces a great tone.

Comments about Yamaha APX500FM Acoustic Electric Guitar:

This is a great product. Everyone who uses my guitar wants to keep it. This is my 2nd, its a guitar made to be amplified, and amplified it sounds fantastic. Its contoured so it fits into your body.. the nect is slick and super fast. It's great to practice with unplugged but it doesn't really shine until its plugged in. It's a sweet sounding guitar. I use mine in church settings and get-togethers. It is the envy of the other players.

Comments about Yamaha APX500FM Acoustic Electric Guitar:

I'm not quite sure what that other guy was talking about in his review, this is a stunning instrument for the price. Now I will have to say that compared to the volume and resonance of one of my Martin, this isn't the best, but as soon as it is hooked up to an amp (as it should be for a proper performance) this guitar is quite incredible. The built in electric tuner, though not the best I've seen, works as it should and comes in handy. My only problem with the guitar is that it doesn't come with a pick-guard, which isn't expensive at all to add later on. I use this guitar for small profile performances and for teaching lessons and it is one of my favorite instruments. But if you are looking for a well-priced instrument that gives you more than you payed for, or if you aren't looking for that, even if you are looking for a flute or violin and somehow managed to stumbled onto the wrong webpage, you should buy this guitar.

Comments about Yamaha APX500FM Acoustic Electric Guitar:

When I bought this guitar, I expected a decent guitar that has at least some decent tone and sound. I did not get this with this guitar. This guitar is very narrow-bodied and does not sound like a guitar for its price. If you plug the guitar in, maybe it sounds decent but it's sound is very flat in acoustic settings. The only positive I have about the guitar is that the color scheme looks pretty cool, but be aware that you will not be all that satisfied.
