The Casio WK-6600 makes it easy to create music. You can store 100 customized DSP styles with 100 DSP effects, one-button arpeggiation with 150 different settings, create & save up to 10 rhythms and store up 32 setting memories with no trouble at all.

The Casio CTK-6600 Portable Keyboard's Song Sequencer provides 16 tracks plus one system track that supports recording of up to five songs and a total of approximately 12,000 notes.  A 32-channel Mixer with button operation can be used for individual simultaneous adjustment of volume, pan, reverb send, and other parameters. The Rhythm Editor lets you combine instrument parts from multiple built-in rhythms, turn individual instrument parts on or off, and adjust volume, pan, reverb, and other parameters to create your own original rhythms. You can even store up to 10 original rhythms in memory for instant recall whenever you need them.

Built-in digital effects include reverb (10 types), chorus (5 types), and DSP (100 types using 46 effect types including delay, phaser, flanger, wah, rotary, and more).Plus, you can create original DSP effects and store up to 100 original types in memory for later recall. The equalizer incorporates five selectable frequency characteristics, including “Bright” for a lively sound emphasizing the treble range and “Powerful” with a stress on volume.

A simple operation saves the current setup, including tone, rhythm, and other settings for instant recall when you need them. 4 sets x 8 banks for 32 setups. Recalling a registration instantly changes the digital keyboard's setup, making this a great tool for live stage performances. Tone Editor can be used to adjust attack time, release time, cut off, vibrato, reverb, chorus, DSP, and other parameters as desired. You can create distinctively original tones for performances and music creation sessions. Song sequencer, tone editor, and other data can be saved to an SD or SDHC memory card. SMF (Standard MIDI File) data stored on an SD or SDHC memory card can be played back on the digital keyboard.

Line out terminals (L/MONO, R) for connection of the mixer of a stage PA system or other devices, a MIC IN terminal for connection of a musical instrument or microphone, an audio in terminal (AUDIO IN) for audio device input that can be output through the speakers, and more.  The USB port provides easy computer and MIDI send/receive connection. It also enables quick and simple transfer of song sequencer, pattern sequencer, tone editor and other data, as well as audio data recorded to an SD memory card from an audio device between the digital keyboard and a computer.

Comments about Casio WK-6600 76-Key Portable Keyboard:

The WK-6600 is a great value. This keyboard has tons of different sounds and a bunch of onboard effects to keep you interested for many hours. For any beginner or hobbyist, this keyboard has more features than the average user would probably ever initially want but would love to have once they discover the possibilities. I would recommend this to anyone who wants more sounds and effects than a basic keyboard.

Comments about Casio WK-6600 76-Key Portable Keyboard:

This keyboard should be marketed as a workstation. This is because it is a workstation. It has a sequencer and a 32 channel mixer built in. Combine with hundreds of pre-set rhythm patterns and instruments, all tweakable via the menu, and this is the most affordable workstation on the market. Give this surprising instrument a shot, its worth it.

This keyboard has a lot of features that you'll ever need to get any job done, be it as a one man band, recording and as a learning tool. I like the range that the 76 keys give you. The sounds are very realistic with quite a few to choose from. It also has many rhythms to choose from.

I have a few students that use this exact keyboard. Yes it has all the dog barks and such that are fun to play with, but when you actually play with the instruments, they sound top notch. Good quality and easy to tote around.

I needed a keyboard with lots of sounds and a sequencer without spending a thousand dollars.
This WK did the trick. Great sounds and the sequencer allows me to overdub and create my tracks just like I wanted for a great price!

Comments about Casio WK-6600 76-Key Portable Keyboard:

This keyboard is a huge improvement on past models from Casio. On board 32 track recorded via SD card as well as a huge library of onboard sounds don't bring any limitations to this board. 76 semi weighted keys give enough range for the simplest of songs to complex arrangements. There is the ability to layer and split sounds as well. In this price point Casio gives you a ton of options.

For the hobbyist looking to get a keyboard with professional features, the Casio WK-6600 is a great option. Lightweight, tons of great sounds, 16 track sequencing, powered or battery, headphone output AND left and right line level output and a slot for SD cards to save midi data, this is one powerful device for the price. A great first/second or third keyboard. Outperforms its price!
