Built from the special Yamaha 9-ply Big Leaf Mahogany shells, the set comes with an 18”x22” bass drum, a 6”x14” snare, 8”x12” mounted tom, 13”x14” and 15”x16” floor toms plus tom mounting hardware to suspend the 12” tom from an adjacent cymbal stand or drum rack. The hardware and toms offer quality inherited from Yamaha's high end drum kits, and the kits provide excellent durability and great cost performance. The toms are fitted with YESS isolation tom mounts for increased sustain, and vertical mounted floor tom brackets for added stability under extreme playing situations.

The Shells
Rock Tour features 9-ply shells of Big Leaf Mahogany, a South American species that is grown in a reforested, managed forest as a renewable resource. Rock Tour shells have a low fundamental, and a warm musical tone while maintaining a strong attack and great projection.
The Kick
Rock Tour bass drums are not fitted with a tom mount and resonate more freely because of this design and is a ten lug style. The bass drum claws have rubber inserts to protect the hoops and prevent rattle at low head tension. The bass drum is fitted with Remo Powerstroke 3 drumheads which have built-in muffling and are widely used by professional for for their powerful and focused sound.
Rock Tour toms and floor toms ship with Remo Pinstripes© for their classic studio-type sound, their durability and ease of tuning. The badge and bass drum resonant head features a new logo with an edgy, modern look.
