ILIO Vienna Harps (EXS/Giga/HALion/Kontakt)
By the middle of the 19th century instrumentation for two harps was firmly established in big orchestras. In recognition of this the Vienna Symphonic Library brings to you Vienna Harps, a beautiful edition featuring two different harps. The first harp is taken completely from Vienna’s Pro Edition and encompasses not only single note samples but also an extensive collection of glissandos: All scales are available in major and minor keys as well as in numerous tempos and tone ranges to ensure the highest flexibility. Also, a great variety of glissandos on four strings allows for countless possible combinations. The second harp boasts an even richer collection of single note samples. Besides standard playing techniques like flageolet, près-de-la-table, bisbigliando and mutes, it also contains additional pedal glissandos and articulations played with fingernails.
