Had two for over two years! never a problem. Buy two, switch between to let cool. You will need a type of central lighting control to turn on and off. I use power strips with on/off switches near my sound board- for sound and lights at my finger tips. Inside or outside great for Moble DJ. Definatety adds to the party atmosphere!

On the surface, the price and light output seem to be a winner. Over time, the honeymoon was over quickly. This unit burned through light bulb replacements. Our club spent more on replacement bulbs than we spent on the unit (it takes two bulbs). The unit requires down time to cool off, so don't count on it for reliability. It also has a pretty loud motor that you will notice unless you have the music cranked up. Also it gives off quite a bit of heat. Eventually, it quit on us completely.
My advice, save up for an LED version of this model, you will be much happier. It will actually be much cheaper in the long run.

Vertigo looks great but as explained to me is designed for intermittent use. As a mobile DJ using Vertigo with only 2 other lights I need it operational for 2-3 hours continuous. Have "broken" 2 of them so far. The sensor seems to poop out unexpectedly and the unit, while remaining lit, will "freeze" and not respond to the music. I've moved on to other lighting solutions. In fairness, I must report that a few other DJs have had no problems with Vertigo, even operating continuously.

"I have been using this light for the better part of two years. It is a great assett for any mobile disc jockey. It's lightweight and powerful. My initial purpose for the purchase was to have a bright light for daytime jobs. None of my lights were showing much during day jobs. One of these lights give a great effect. I use up to four of them. All four definitely fill a high school gym. The only thing I would caution about is that they are high wattage. Using more than one could trip a house circuit. I usually counteract this by using an extension cord to another plug not on the same circuit. Also, I have not yet changed the bulb since I got it two years ago."

The manufacturer's warranty covers parts for one year and labor for one year from date of purchase. The warranty excludes damage from misuse, abuse, and contains other exclusions.
