This amp is a nice size with a lot of tube power. It is perfect for taking with you to gigs or jams because it doesn't weigh a ton ( I also have a Fender hot rod deluxe and I love that amp too, but is it too heavy to take to jams). The only beef I have is with the features, like tapping. The instructions are too complicated for my brain. I guess if I go back and read the instruction booklet again I will understand this amp better. This amp is a great value for the price.

After looking at many reviews, I decided to buy this. Great amp for practice. Chose this over fender and marshall and roland cube. Whatever style you play, this amp can help you. Amp models are nice to play with. Effects are great. And each effect you can adjust very well. For example, the delay can be changed, the depth of the chorus, and the speed of the tremolo. There's also a reverb knob, unlike some amps that have one knob with 4 different effects on it and each effect has only 1/4 of the knob for adjustment. You probably know what i mean. I own a american strat and a epiphone les paul. They both sound great on this. Was a bit skeptical about vox, but i got convinced after learning that it's also a tube amp with a 12ax7 tube. Wow a tube amp at this price!Only problem i'm having is the song presets. These are setting that were used in such famous songs such as sweet child o mine and enter sandman. They didn't sound right. Maybe i'm doing something wrong. No big deal. Hope this review helps.

I bought my VT15 in Dec 08 and have spent more time playing and practicing lately because it sounds so good. Get it off the floor - it's light so just about any guitar stand will do the trick. Read and refer to the manual often, it really helps you get the most out of the amp. The clean amp models will not sound good unless you're at the higher settings for gain, master, and rear power - but set properly, they're as terrific as the other amp models. There's simply nothing to compare it to for classic rock and blues in this price range. The Line 6 Spider III 30W and Peavey Vypyr are toys- this is an amp. The VT15 (8" spkr) is plenty loud for me but younger players might prefer the VT30 - that one comes with a 10" speaker. If you don't want to bother with manually finding the perfect tone, there will be some among the 66 factory presets (3 for each of the 22 amp models) that you'll love. Vox hit it out of the park with these new VT series amps.

It has great sound and fantastic effects but it is not that loud so if you are going to us it outside of your house you better get a bigger one. Great amp!

Excellent value,great amp for home practice.Wide choice of presets,or use it as a regular amp.I like the 12 AX7 tube preamp.The VT 30 has twice the power,but since it is only for home use,I went with the 15 Watt model.Has 66 presets,22 of the presets which are from a wide selection of classic hit songs.

I like my new Vox VT15 amp and although I can't play much yet it will help me out alot. And if you don't have a lot of space for an amp this is the one you want.

Its great that vox added a tube to their low priced amps. it sounds alright, i got mine today and it had some issues. volume knob didn't work... so... im think im taking it back. but the floor model sounded great. so im thinking since its new it needs some development.
