I had bought this bass a while back in the black sunburst and ever since day one, it does NOT disappoint. I play things like: Mogwai to Joy Division to RadioHead and even Lamb of God. Set the adjustable bridge and play slap like Primus with no problem (may want to change the strings for that though).The neck is very fast, thin and comfortable although it is a bit neck heavy and likes to dip every once in a while. The pick-ups are top notch, crystal clear soap bars that are perfect for resting the thumb on. The volume and tone nobs are pretty cool seeing how I haven't had a problem with them coming lose or anything. The tones and window shattering bottom that comes from this thing is unreal playing (personally) through an Ampeg BA115. I don't know why this bass is priced soo low. Do yourself a favor and ATLEAST play if not buy this beautiful instrument.

this bass is amazing. this is my second bass, i also own a kramer striker from '86 but the Tbird blows it out of the water. the tone is perfect, the shape fits me perfect, and it rocks. definitely buy it!!!

I have had a real Tbird IV, a Japanese Elite Tbird, and one of these. This is a TBird in name only. Because of the wood, and the fact it's a bolt on, it doesn't sound or feel like a Tbird. Well constructed, and you can't beat the price. But it is what it is, a maple and basswood bolt on, like a Squier.But if you want the real deal, save your pennies and buy an Epiphone Elite for about [$], if you can find one. It's the real deal, an all-mahogany set-neck( IMHO, mahogany is one of my favorite tone woods),and actually made a little better than the Tbird IV. The Elite has reverse Gotoh tuners , and these alone are worth the price of admission cause they stay in tune way better than the ridiculous tuners on the Tbird IV.

This bass was my first real one(Cuz my Dad had all the cool ones), And, I've dropped it, Hit it against a wall, and so many others. It still delivers the classic T-Bird tone, and craftsmanship, for a very reasonable price. If you want it, buy it.

This is a really great instrument. A classic look and feel but with everything you need to write and play contemporary tunes. Of course it is not the Gibson version (although read some reviews of those; they often have many complaints about craftsmanship and setup prob.),but it comes at a fraction of the cost for, in my experienced opinion, very little sacrifice. The instrument is solid and carries great tone, pickups are great for most uses (and if you find they are not for you, you can always upgrade and still save tons over the gibson version), and the look cannot be beat. The common problem with the bass is the infamous neck dive. However, this can and has been remedied by a decent strap and familiarity with the instrument that only comes with playing it for a while. Don't be so susceptible to brand-name superiority: go try one for yourself. Chances are it will work great for you and leave you with an extra grand still in your pocket.

This bass is mean sounding, and is incredible looking. The pictures do not do it justice. Made my Behringer BXL3000 sound incredible. I was playing a Mexican Jazz Bass and wanted something heavier. With this bass I got it and even had enough left over to buy some lunch. Cannot beat the price for what you're getting. You simply cannot. The only reason that I didn't give it all five stars is that hey, Gibson makes the same one and you know that is probably as good as it gets...The pickups are great and the controls are excellent. Well built guitar from a reliable company. [...]very satisfied with product!
