Deering Banjos The Deluxe 5 String Banjo
As one of the most poplar models of the Deering line the Deluxe is a great sounding, great playing and great looking banjo. The gloss finish, ebony fingerboard, diamond shaped inlays, and extra trim on the back of the resonator are features that make the Deluxe a more elegant instrument. You get the same three-ply maple rim, virgin bell bronze sand cast tone-ring, zinc flange and nickel plated hardware on the the Deluxe that you get on the most expensive Deering models. The mahogany neck and resonator create a sweet tone. The pearl Deering logo in the peg-head is a nod to Deering's heritage as it's the very first logo that Greg Deering designed when he built his first instrument in 1969. The Deluxe comes with a hardshell case and is protected by Deering's Lifetime warranty.
