Comments about Labella SS45B Super Steps Standard Electric Bass 5 String Set (45-128):
Kind of wary when I opened the package. strings all seem to be in diffrent stages of tarnishing, some bright and some a little duller, maybe it's how these strings look. don't know don't care theses sound awesome! The low end is huge and the growl is threatening. Maybe it's because it was time to change my strings or whatever but I can pull off things on theses strings that I couldn't before. The bridge needs a little adjusting because the core sitting directly on the saddles lowers the action considerably, but they still sound awesome even with the adjsutments not made. Sustain is huge and will probrobly improve with the raise in action. I own a warwick and you can fine tune the action to whatever you want at both contact points. Had some problems getting these though, but samash.com ironed out all the problems and even gave me a discount in the end, kudos to Amanda Hamers at customer service..great buy..awesome tone all around!

If you already have low action, you mighthave to tweak your bridge height seting to eliminate buzzing. The bridge end of the string sets directly on the inner core, resulting in high-sustain and low action.
