Samson Q7 Cardioid Dynamic Microphone

The Q7 dynamic microphone brings a high level of audio performance and accuracy to vocal miking applications thanks to its low mass, neodymium element.

The Samson Q7 is a hand held, dynamic microphone that excels in both live performance and recording applications. Equipped with a linear frequency response for superior reproduction, it is also designed to withstand high sound pressure levels. Extremely sensitive, it employs a tight super cardioid pattern to reduce feedback. A special shock-mounted element minimizes handling noise and provides additional protection. The Samson Q7 utilizes state-of-the-art microphone technology and is engineered to the finest detail.

Ultra-sensitive neodimium element picks up all of the nuances of any performance.

Tight super cardioid polar pattern minimizes feedback problems and effectively rejects signals not originating directly in front of the mic capsule

Extended range frequency response for optimum reproduction and exceptionally clear, crisp sound.

Comments about Samson Q7 Cardioid Dynamic Microphone:

I use this for live shows and some recordings. I took a chance when my local store ran out of SM58's. I've bought three since. I really like them. They come in a padded case, which is great for transport if a bit bulky, and they have great sound. In my experience, they block feedback and noise better than the Sure SM58's. I've had mine for a few years and they've never given me any trouble. Their specificity with regards to positioning makes them more efficient at not picking up unwanted noise, but you also then have to watch how you sing into the mic so it doesn't cut you out. It obviously depends on taste and main needs. They've been VERY useful and versatile to me. If you want an SM58, be sure to check these out as well.

Good Mic

I've spent most of my adult life playing music and have been through a decent amount of Mics. I'm not going to say how fab this mic is, because I've used better. But if you want to compare it the the standard SM58 it is just as good and you save [$]. I have over the years collected several 58s and just recently bought this Q7. Sound is on par, I hope it will last to the bulletproof likeness of the 58.

While buying my Squire PA system the guy went over different mics with me and my band he showed me the Samson the Shure and i do not remember the other one. The Q7 just blew me away i bought two of them because the price was amazing and I had a show in a week. For the time being i use these mics for drum recordings and they give you an excellent sound with no feedback.

I initially bought this mic for stage performance. Now I mostly record with it. It provides a clean, flat response that can easily be EQed or have effects added to get the sound you want. For live performance it proved to be perfectly adequate, clean and clear. Forthe price, it's a steal

I bought this mike over the Shure SM-58 because people told me it was better. When I got it, it just simply blew me away. In my band the other singer uses a Shure SM-58, while they both are very good mikes, the Q7 beats the Shure without a doubt.

I picked up a couple of Q7's for vocals because of the price & styling. I was blown away by how much better they sounded than my SM58's on my live gigs.
