I got this thing because I'm in the military and wanted something that I could take overseas with me. This thing fits easily in my guitar case so I didn't have to find somewhere else to ship it in, it has a belt clip that I use to attach it to my guitar strap, and the sound is amazing. I like that it also has a 1/4" output so you can connect it to an amp if you want to so you aren't stuck with just using headphones with this, and both outputs still work so you can rock out with some friends and use the headphones as a personal monitor. I had ordered a VOX Metal headphone amp during my last deployment and I hated it. It's designed to plug directly into the guitar output jack and it kept getting in the way when I tried to play while sitting, and it only had distortion with limited parameters to try to adjust the sound, just like a simple stompbox. What was worse was there was no way to turn the distortion off to get a clean tone. I went ahead and bought the POD and so far the only disappointment with it is the short battery life.
If you get this be prepared to read the manual. Some functions require two-button combos to access so it can be a little hard to figure things out right out of the box. Other than that, be sure to buy lots of batteries, or the power adapter.

This pod works great its got awesome effects it is really small making it easy to carry around and is able to be used on any amp at any time...the problem with this is that its battery life is really short and it is really difficult to use if u dont read the instruction.

I play guitar regularly at church, but I'm not one to leave my gear lying around. After several years of lugging a 40+ pound amp to and from church, I thought the Pocket Pod would be a great way to play guitar plugged direct into the mixer/PA system. It works perfectly in that setting, especially in a clean tone with some reverb! I would suggest you either purchase rechargeable batteries or the power adapter; batteries last around 2-3 hours. The features are great...I particularly like the ease of finding favorite amp models and tones; they are arranged in an order that is more user-friendly than other amp modelers I've borrowed or used. I also like the fact that you can go online and share tones at no charge. The best feature about it is its small size; it fits perfectly in my guitar case.
