I bought this pedal about four years ago and I've been very satisfied with it. I've owned every Boss bass effect and this is the only one I haven't sold. The reason why I like this so much is that when used with a lesser quality bass, it makes it sound a whole lot better. I have a 100 dollar bass with nothing special and this pedal takes the dull P pickup and gives it some bite. Even with my 700 dollar bass it enhances the sound. You probably won't notice an immediate difference in sound but once you get used to it, you need it. All of the Boss bass pedals are good but this is the best in their catalog.
