i use this pedal @ my church i purchased it from sam ash and this was i guess june or july of 09. the pedal recently snapped during a service and i mean i can put the screw on and use it again but it doesnt take too much heavy playing before it snaps again.but for the price it is good as it gets for now because im on a budget.

bought this to go with vintage slingerlands. complements the set nicely. nice and quiet mechanism, and with the spring tension adjusted properly, i can't think of much this pedal can't do for rock and jazz. a little money for a lot of pedal.

I bought this pedal one year ago and at the time I was a beginner and it really helped build my confidence and skills. It gives the performance of a higher priced pedal for a mere $30. The only problem I encountered with this product is the chain was long and had to pay around with it for an hour to get it to work. otherwise it's been great. I definitely suggest this product.

This pedal takes a lot of getting used to. Not as much so for beginners because they don't have aything to get used to. This pedal is okay for beginners but nothing else. It is very heavy and bulky and if you are wearing pants, gets stuck under your pant leg because it bounces back so far. It is a solidly made pedal but just doesn't suffice for anyone over beginner. I advise sticking with this pedal until you master all of the simple beats for each genre. After you start getting comfortable with your drum set, buy another pedal.
