i love this guitar.
i have 4 other guitars lp,fender strat,gibson j45, esp ec50 and i am getting a washburn n2 electric so i usually play those. But when i picked this guitar up and played it i was suprised at how well it played and how sturdy it was. It plays almost as good as my j45, almost ;)

By far the best guitar for the money!!!! I dont want to put it down. I went to the sam ash store and played alot of guitars and consitiantly went back to this one. beat out a 450 alverez so thats 250 in my pocket. If you have doubts just go to a dealer and play one!!

The FG700S is rated in the top ten A-Gits under $350.00. The sound quality is crisp and full with nice sustain and piano-like resonance. Not plunky, dull, muddled or tinny. The low chords are not boomy and the higher chords ring out clearly.
It has a solid sitka (spruce) top, laminated nato sides/back, rosewood fret board, and die cast chromed tuners. The Gloss finish is beautiful and good quality workmanship.
Neck setup and action were good/average out of the box. There is a truss rod for adjustment if needed. Has Yamaha Brass 80/20 coated .12 strings that are stiffer and require more pressure than thinner E-Git strings, but that makes the sound quality and helps prevent fret buzz. It does not have a front body mounted strap plug.
I could not find an A-Git that compared in sound except for a few in the $350-600 price range.
I would have liked a slightly lower action, thinner strings, and a front body strap plug, but those things can always be changed later on. Mine was new out of the box and sounded just as good as the display model.
I recommend this guitar for anyone who is serious about the sound of their music but do not want to spend a lot.
The guys at Sam Ash gave me a great deal on the already good price and I could not pass it up.

this is a really great, good, awesome, guitar. the sound is incredible. it has a rich tone. i played a 2500 dollar martin guitar and liked the yamaha better. great guitar. well worth the money. better then some 300, 400, 500 dollar guitars. Buy It

This guitar is AWESOME!!!!! The only thing is that when I got it out of the box it wasn't in tune so i had to take it back, and get it tuned. Otherwise this guitar is the best guitar i've ever owned.
