It provides a more full tone with superior projection. Michael Kelly takes tone up another notch by hand scalloping the bracing to really open up the tone. They use a unique Burled Ash wood for the back and sides which looks as great as it sounds. Like all MK acoustic basses it has a 34" scale length for perfect string tension and tone. The other reason that the Club Custom is all about sound is that it features the Fishman MKAB acoustic bass optimized amplification system. Developed exclusively for Michael Kelly by Fishman, this is one of the first pre-amps made specifically for acoustic bass. Case not included.
