The 10 pieces in this book were selected for their proven appeal to students as well as their value for technical development. Standard guitar repertoire by Carcassi, Carulli, Guiliani, Sor and Tarrega, is included along with seven transcriptions of Bach, Paganini, Pachelbel and Beethoven; the music spans 250 years. An added feature of the book is that the pieces are organized in order of difficulty, moving from Grade 1 to Grade 4, as set by the ASTA Guitar Division.
