Having played drums professionally since the age of eighteen, Mark Walker has won both the Grammy and Latin Grammy awards, coached ensembles, played on pop records and toured extensively worldwide. Many of Mark's early musical influences were Afro-Cuban and Brazilian, and he has worked with many fine Latin American musicians including Paquito D'Rivera, Chucho Valdes, Michel Camilo, Cesar Camargo Mariano and numerous others. Mark's non-Latin jazz experience is also extensive, having performed and/or recorded with Lyle Mays, Steve Rodby, Michael Brecker, David Liebman, Double Image, David Friedman, Joe Henderson, Dianne Reeves, Patricia Barber, James Ingram, Sammy Davis, Jr., Rosemary Clooney, Fareed Haque, Fred Simon and a host of others.
