If you really want to get this thing, only use it as a backup. If this is what you're looking at, I would recommend a behringer which will save you a couple bucks and sound the same, unless you really want that on/off switch. I say that it would only be good as a backup because that's the only use I can think of for it. I got this as a starting mic just so that my band could have vocals and it sufficed, until I got an EV which blew it away.
